SFATA Issues Statement on Omnibus Spending Bill
The SFATA (SMOKE-FREE ALTERNATIVES TRADE ASSOCIATION) has issued a statement that is well worth the read.
Here is a short quote from the SFATA article.
“We are disappointed and dismayed that Congress did not include proposed language in its final omnibus spending bill that would preclude the FDA from using funds to implement February 15, 2007 as the deeming date.
“Our government must not be allowed to turn the clock back nine years on technology that is being used by millions of American adults who are former smokers. Unless the grandfather date is changed, these people will likely be forced back to smoking or to an unregulated black market.
